CDL pre-lashed mainline a hit with sugarmakers
Easy install, sugarmakers say
ALSTEAD, N.H.—Sugarmaker Alan Dustin loves the pre-lashed mainline.
During a recent pre-lashed mainline tour of his new installation in Alstead, N.H., Dustin had lots of postive comments about the new pipeline technology, primarily about its ease of installation.
Dustin said he and friend and fellow sugarmaker Mark Mitchell of Chester, Vt. installed 10,000 feet of the pipe in a single day.
The mainline comes pre-lashed to 9-guage wire, with the longest run 2,000-feet from the top of the hill to the extractor at the road.
It held 28.2 inches of vacuum all season, Dustin said.
