Mid-Winter Maple Classic returns to Syracuse this weekend
27 speakers on hand and huge trade show floor
SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The big show in central New York is returning this weekend after a one-year absence.
Walk-ins are welcome at the door.
The NYS Mid-Winter Maple Classic is this Friday and Saturday, January 5-6 at the OnCenter in downtown Syracuse.
The show will include a full slate of 27 different expert speakers, seminars and a huge trade show.
Speakers include Glenn Goodrich of Cabot, Vt., Carl Lapierre of Lapierre Equipment, Joel Boutin of Quebec, Martin Chabot from CDL, Aaron Wightman and Adam Wild from Cornell, Jesse Randall of Michigan State U., Mark Cannella of UVM Extension, Jason Lilley of U. Of Maine, and many more.
“The show will have hot button topics selected by the Cornell Maple Program covering food safety, product development, insect concerns, sugarbush management, finance and marketing strategies, sap collection and processing, climate and carbon impacts, upcoming regulations and policies, Canadian Maple influences, and new technology developments,” said NYS Maple Producers’ Association president Dan Weed of Schoolyard Sugarbush.
